In an effort to honor important African Americans every Febraury I paint icons like a young John Lewis here.  Lewis was one of the most liberal congressmen to have represented a district in the Deep South. He was categorized as a "Hard-Core Liberal". He famously had ties with MLK and RFK and was really a social justice warrior for nearly his entire life. I also think he was quite a handsome dude.

They are painted on dense board with a protective coating. The reverse side of the earrings has a splatter painted design. The bold earrings measure just about 2 inches long. They are very lightweight and come with gold plated hooks.
