Item Description
Released in Britain in 1954, the Garrard 301 is an idler drive turntable that is highly sought-after by audiophiles and collectors alike. The turntable features a large motor that drives an idler, in turn driving the platter by its rim. The base is die-cast aluminum, offering a highly robust feel. By its high-quality construction and design, the 301 provides excellent performance, with low wow and flutter and low rumble.
Fidelity-Research FR-24 tonearm is a highly regarded design known for its accurate tracking and excellent sound quality. The headshells are interchangeable and cartridges can be easily replaced. This tonearm makes a great match for the GARRARD 301. This is a legendary vintage turntable, and one in Very Good condition is a rare find.
This turntable is in very good condition with an expected sign of aging including some minor scratches and scuffs on its surface(please see the photos). The inside of this turntable has been cleaned(Please check the photos). The wooden turntable base is also very nicely finished. The unit has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, who has confirmed the integrity and excellent operation. Considering the robust construction of units like these, it's likely this turntable can be enjoyed for many years to come. As shown in the photos. Does not come with the dust cover.
