This High Quality Vintage Huipil from the Mayan Tzeltal community of Tenejapa in the highlands of Chiapas Mexico.  It was Handwoven on a Back Strap Loom and the designs are created by hand embroidery.   I purchased this huipil while visiting Tenejapa.  This piece was originally worn by a woman from this community.   It is in excellent condition.   It is open on the sides as is traditional for huipils from this community.

It measures; 29 1/2 inches across (total 59 inches around) and is 26 inches long.

This huipil will fit just about anyone as it is not closed on the sides...

This listing does not include the skirt or belt.. if you wish to purchase a matching belt or take a look at my numerous belt & skirt listings.

The Back and Front are Identical...

This huipil is a great Statement piece reflecting various fashion trends; Boho Chic, Santa Fe Style, Hippie, Cow Girl, Frida Kahlo inspired an of course Traditional Mexican Fiesta wear!!!

This is a Win Win scenario. You get to own a beautiful hand woven Huipil, while supporting these Mayan women save their cultural heritage and traditions.

Hand Wash only, use a mild soap and dry flat.  or dry-clean....
