Vintage and classic Frankoma!  This is a beautiful example of their traditional Christmas cards, given to friends, family and dealers across the country each year.  The limited edition designs were only created for that year and then the molds were destroyed.  This design, 'Artist's Palette,' was lovingly presented in 1978.  The miniature plate or tray depicts the Star of Bethlehem shining down on an artist's palette and a tall pitcher.   

Made of red Sapulpa clay with a white sand glaze, the miniature plate or trinket dish measures 3 1/2 inches wide and is 3 inches tall. Item is in very good to excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The underside reads "Merry Christmas JF Frankoma 1978," in raised letters. Tape residue and previous owner’s writing is on the back.  Can be used in a display or as a small trinket dish.  Would make an excellent gift for a Frankoma collector, an artist, potter or painter!  PEB7
