Don't worry about bent/warped parts. Just dip the figure in steaming hot water, and it will straighten out almost entirely by itself. Dip it in cold water to help it set.
These figures are not only great for collecting, they are also THE best for wargaming on a grand scale. Add a little weight to the base, for example, and you can fight "Little Wars" as created by the father of miniature wargames, HG Wells.
