Thrifting find. Please note - This coat has some problems as detailed further in this description. Vintage faux fur swing coat, made by Dan Millstein New York. The union made label style would date this coat between 1955 to 1963. No size mark that I could find, but I am guessing it to be a Large. Measurements were tricky to get because of the coat's shape. it Model is 5'6" and a size 4, to give you an idea of fit. It seemed quite big on her. There are buttons only at the collar in true swing coat style. They are oversized and have two loops, perhaps to hold them together? Three-quarter length sleeves. Two hidden vertical slit pockets. There are a number of issues with this coat due to age and wear, and it will need repairs, but it has such a great style I hope it will be of use for someone. The main problem is that the seams have come apart in several areas: at the upper back under the collar, inside one pocket, at one underarm, and inside the lining at both shoulders. I tried to show these areas in the photos. There may be more but these were what I could find. I also found a large vintage button in one pocket as shown; it doesn't match but will be included. I am not quite sure how the buttons at the collar fasten together and it looks like there are some knotted threads near one button, but I don't know why they're there. Shown in the last picture. The Dan Millstein tag is detached on one side, and it looks like there may have been another tag at the inside upper back that has been removed. There are spots and stains on the inner lining and a few brown spots on the exterior faux fur as well. The coat is substantial; weighing nearly 4 pounds. Measures 37" from top of collar to bottom hem. Shoulder seam to shoulder seam is approximately 18". Armpit to armpit is about 24". Please look over the photos and let me know if you have any questions. Shipped in a cardboard box via USPS Ground Advantage.
