Shimizu's machine that challenged the 250cc class of the World GP
From 1986 to 2002, Honda's NSR250 works machine dominated the 250cc class of the motorcycle road racing world championship, winning 11 manufacturer's titles, including two consecutive four-win seasons, and producing five world champions. Amongst the many riders who made their mark, we cannot forget the Japanese rider Masahiro Shimizu, who in 1987 won the All Japan Road Race Championship International Class A 250cc class championship with an overwhelming display of strength. From 1988 to 1992 he competed in the World GP, finishing second in the British GP in 1990, and although he did not win the championship, he was one of the first Japanese riders to make a major breakthrough. The AJINOMOTO-coloured Honda NSR250, Shimizu's favourite machine from the 1990 World Road Race 250cc class, is now available as a 1/12th scale model.
Model Details.
This kit is a 1/12 scale plastic model assembly kit.
Overall length 163mm, width 50mm.
Clear parts for the upper and lower two-part cowling. The cowling is a clear part and can be finished without painting, allowing you to observe the internal mechanics even after completion.
Precise reproduction of the 2-stroke V-type 2-cylinder engine. Plug cords and water pipes are also represented by vinyl pipes. The engine is attached to the frame with tiny screws, allowing you to enjoy the mechanic's feeling of assembly.
Rear suspension uses metal coil springs.
Tyres are made from textured solid rubber and include tyre markings.
High-quality slide marks for the livery are made by Cartograf of Italy. Marks for the holes in the cowl are also included.
