Description: This is a rare, antique American pewter mold
in the shape of Father Knickerbocker, the symbol of New York City.
This is a very heavy mold done in three sections. The figure of a man’s head with colonial
style hat and colonial hair (see pony-style hair in back section). The back
section has the mark of the Eppelsheimer co. (E.& Co., N.Y.) with no mold
number. Although we did not see a mold number on the object, with the information from another eBayer, it is Eppelsheimers, 994. This is the only example of this
type we have seen.
