This is a superbly hand tooled leather reproduction name tag. Just like the original tags, and as illustrated in the WWII Class 13 catalogue. Here is a name tag which is impressed into the leather strip. In the Army Airforce of WWII the tags typically featured the wearers first name(s) Initial together with the surname.

Name tags such as this would have been issued through the AAF Quarter Masters store.

This tag is a reproduction from the war time jacket of Maj. Gale Cleven. He is characterised and portrayed in the series ‘Masters of the air’ which is currently available.
