This is a fabulous all original 1960 Fender Stratocaster & was very Special Ordered to emulate “Hank Marvin” whom was at his pinnacle w/his band, The Shadows. His trademark was a outragious Fiesta Red Strat as many were ordered by Fender’s disributor in the UK at that time. This Strat is a lovely example of the typical production as most bodies were taken from off the line & most started life as a Black guitar w/gray undercoating. Fender then reshot these in their famous Fiesta Red Nitro over the Black undercoat. Its saved time & became the UK’s fave. Its killer 100% original neck has a fabulous Slab Rosewood fingerboard sits on top of some wonderfully figured Maple & is pencil dated 5/60 making it one of the most desirable Strats ever produced. It’s got a clean set of Kluson single line tuners, its # 52XXX serial # plate, its factory tremolo & a nice original Green’gard. Loaded w/its original set of 3 black bottom pickups & have unsoldered pot dating perfectly in time from the 20th week of 1960. The original owner literally had painted this Strat in Lake Placid Blue in 1966 (see photos) right over its original Fiesta finish w/out disturbing it very much beforehand. As many times in the  past, we have saved the original finishes on many guitars by slowly removing its overspray & hope for the best results. Thank goodness, she turned out pretty good & 85% of its original Fiesta Red over Black finish is now showing proudly on its 64th B’day. Funny she looks very much like what Fender attempts to copy in their Custom Shop. Now’s your chance to grab a real Custom Color Slab necked 1960 Strat under market value to enjoy & watch escalate in value over the next few years. Check out our photo its next to our 1964 Jazz Bass in the matching Fiesta Red finish 4 years apart. She’s now 100% back to Very Good condition overall & comes w/its original Trem Arm, single layer white back plate & its tremolo cover all in its original Brown Tolex case. Its priced to sell for what a nice '60 Sunburst Strat brings so grab it if you can.
