Solid Lead shot ballast. Sold by the kilogram.

One of my passions is diving and I started making my own diving weights from lead shot. Since then I've discovered it has many other uses:

- Ballast for RC planes, boats, cars - Model trains - Clock weights - Motorbike handlebars (to damp down vibrations) - Neck weights for free diving/spear fishing - Dead blow hammers

This is never going to be any use in a shotgun shell but is absolutely perfect for ballast to go in small or awkwardly shaped compartments.

The shot pieces themselves are about 2 mm diameter. See the photos for scale. Other photos show the lead shot in actual use in a model glider and boat.

Volumes --- 1kg of lead occupies approximately 125ml. This may help you when working out how much you need.

Eating lead isn't very good for you so please wash your hands after handling it :-)
