This daguerreotype features a handsome young gentleman with a striped tie and perfect styled hair. The daguerreotypist used quite dramatic lighting which is fairly uncommon. 

The 1/6 plate has its original seals that are flaking very slightly and the case measures about 3.25 x 3.75 inches. Most of the dust specks are on the glass and not the plate itself. All of the scratches are also on the glass.
