The carpets of the provenance Nain are often worked out of very soft, elegant wool. The wool used for this is so-called cork wool and is sheared at the neck of the lamb, which makes it possible to weave particularly thin and hard-wearing threads that make the carpet very dense. These carpets are finely knotted and elaborately designed. High knot-weights, first class material, this kind of Nain rugs with silk are an example of the excellent tradition of high quality. It is often incorporated into the pile of the Nain silk to emphasize the contrasts, this nain captivates bi a very soft and very gentle handle.
