What it does:

The “Chapatronics” remote and accompanying control box overrides the factory valving to allow the exhaust valves, whether it be on Aftermarket exhaust with vacuum valves or the stock exhaust, to be opened or closed manually via the Chapatronics Remote.

How to operate:

With the Chapatronics Controller installed, the exhaust valves can be "opened" by pressing the “OFF” button found on the bottom of the remote. To "close" the exhaust valves simply press the “ON” button on the top of the remote.

- Your stock exhaust mechanical valve “MUST” be functioning and not seized or broken.

- Your vacuum solenoid “MUST” be working and not faulty.

- Your Power plug to the solenoid “MUST” be not damaged or the terminal’s corroded or any damaged wires.

- Your plugs “MUST” be free from any dirt or grit,to click into appropriate install locations.

- Your fuses that operates the solenoid’s power “MUST” be not blown.

- Your vacuum pipes that connect to the solenoid “MUST” be in working order.

"Can the exhaust valves stay closed during cold start?"

“Due to the nature of the stock vacuum system on the “Audi vacuum solenoids) they operate under vacuum pressure so if the car still has pressure in the system, you will be able to switch the flap on/off just having the ignition switched on.
If the car has been stood for some time, the vacuum will not be pressurised until you start up again.
We can promise when you start up, this remote will switch the flaps instantly. So once you press start on your car, press the closed flap “ON” button to make it quiet instantly.”

Is the “Chapatronics” controller device box safe from grime and water?

“Yes! the Chapatronics controller box with the OEM wiring harness, is fully waterproof therefore no grime or oils can get in. (We also recommend you zip tie your controller box out the way of sharp objects or hot areas, such as exhaust pipes)”
