Beautiful and Old Majolica St. Clement Figural Monkey Pitcher, 9 1/2" approx.
I have many art pottery/ art glass/ collectibles/ antiques/ majolica listed on eBay from time to time. We guarantee NO reproductions of any kind. This is a very nice figural monkey pitcher made by St. Clement and it is in excellent condition as I did not find any chip, crack or repair. It has a small factory glazed nick to its bottom (please see last picture) which is being mention solely for a complete record. The marks KG (Keller and Guerim) along with SC (St. Clement) on its bottom indicate that this pitcher was an older version made before WWI and circa 1900s. A similar monkey pitcher appears in MAJOLICA FIGURES by Helen Cunningham on page 98 and valued $550-$700 in 1997. It is absolutely gorgeous and a great majolica to collect. Like most antiques majolica, it has some crazing & discolorations. Please disregard the lighting glares. Thank you and good luck. Our Ref: 3643 |
