AN 1889 SILVER DOUBLE FLORIN COIN, MINTED DURING THE REIGN OF QUEEN VICTORIA.
IT HAS THE JUBILEE HEAD OF THE MONARCH ON THE OBVERSE.
THIS TYPE OF COIN WAS ONLY MINTED FOR FOUR YEARS, 1887 TO 1990, AND WAS SIMILLAR TO THE FLORIN BUT TWICE THE WEIGHT.
IT IS MADE FROM STERLING SILVER AND HAS A DIAMETER OF APPROXIMATELY 36 mm.
