This figurine of a swan was created in Murano. We presume it to have been made by G. Campanella. It was produced using black glass with expanded silver leaf cased in crystal. It was sculpted after it was cased. We determined the maker by finding other similar labeled figurines. The appearance of how the silver foil was expanded over the black seems to be a décor particular to Campanella even though the general technique is and was widely used on the island. We do not know when it was made but a good guess would be the 1970s-90s. Even though it does not bear a label or signature, aside from the foil appearance and the form, we were able to also match the construction technique in which the tool marks remain at the ends of the pulls. The swan stands 5-3/4" (14.6 cm) tall and measures 3" (7.6 cm) long. The piece is in excellent condition without chips, flea bites, scratches, or bruising.

All payments are handled through eBay’s managed payment system. Payment is expected within 72 hours of the end of an auction and immediately with Buy It Now. Please pay promptly. If you anticipate a problem paying within that time frame, please contact us to make arraignments. After 4 days eBay as part of their Seller Protection Program will start an Unpaid Item Claim automatically. Items not paid for within 96 hours are subject to re-listing. 

All items will ship within 24 hours of your cleared payment. Unless stated otherwise in the posting or agreed upon prior to the end of the auction, all items will be shipped either by USPS Priority Mail, Parcel Post, FedEx Ground or UPS Standard Ground. We prefer Priority Mail for items less than 4 pounds. If you require a specific shipping method, please contact us as we will try to accommodate your wishes.

We do include a small handling charge of $2.00 on most orders ($3.50 internationally). This charge includes the cost of insurance. We pack very well (check our feedback) and we can’t get those darn packing peanut or bubble wrap trees to produce anything for us. Shipping costs are based upon your address and are calculated by eBay for the shipper you choose. We have no control over these charges, and we do not profit from shipping. Please remember this when leaving your feedback because any Detailed Seller Rating (stars) less than 5 hurts the seller when it comes to our service incentives.

P.O. Box:  Shipping to a P.O. Box requires U.S. Postal Service delivery.

INSURANCE:   We insure all items that we sell. The cost of insurance is included in our handling charge.
