SIAI-Marchetti S.211 (later Aermacchi S-211) is a turbofan-engined military trainer aircraft developed and originally marketed by Italian aircraft manufacturer SIAI-Marchetti.

The Aermacchi M-345 [3] is a turbofan-powered military trainer aircraft designed and produced by the Italian defense conglomerate Leonardo SpA.

It is a development of the SIAI-Marchetti S.211. On December 29, 2016, the M-345 made its maiden flight; a month later, the first order for the type was placed by the Italian Air Force. The first production M-345 took off from Venegono Superiore in December 2018; and entered service in December 2020, replacing the MB-339.
