NOTE - existing damage to the duct consists of several cracks near the center of the duct and some small pieces broken off the flange section where it attaches to the heater/air conditioning assembly [also called the core and case assembly]. These areas are indicated by red arrows in some of the pictures. The 2 larger cracks were glue repaired at some point.
