Quality Assurance- I take many high definition pictures of the hats I sell mainly for 2 reasons. To help you verify the hat is 100% authentic and to also help you determine if the logos are screen printed, heat pressed or sewn on. My rare hats are 100% authentic retail store bought products. I am the original owner of the hat. No one else owned the hat but me. You never have to worry about getting a fake or not as described hat from me. Not because I told you and you should quote- "trust me, I wouldn't lie to you, you remind me of my mom-aghhh", but because of hard facts based on my selling history on eBay. I have zero negative feedback on all my hat sales and over 2000+ positive reviews. I sell/sold my share of hats in the $60-$200+ range and still have perfect feedback on all of these hat buys. At these prices, I would have definitely gotten negative feedback if the buyer wasn't happy with the quality, item description, shipping/packing of the hat or my customer service. This is why I take a lot of closeup HD pictures of the actual hat because I have nothing to hide. You will never see generic pictures(off the internet) on any of my hat listings. Please feel free to move your mouse pointer over any of the listing pictures for a zoomed in look. Zooming in on a picture is the best way to inspect material texture and the type of logo's being applied to the hat. Thanks for your time.
PU(Polyurethane) Bill & Strapback Note- For those of you who are not familiar with PU on hats here's a quick rundown. I've been selling & wearing PU hats for well over 5 years so I have some valuable insights on these polyurethane coated hats. First off, one of the main reasons PU hats were created was to give you that expensive luxurious leather look at a fraction of what a actual 100% leather hat would cost. With that said, there are some drawbacks to PU coated hats. PU coating may look & feel like real leather, but it's definitely not as durable as 100% real leather. The PU coating will nick or peel if mishandled. From my experience, some PU coatings are more durable and stick to the hat better than others. I've had hats that lasted many years without any peeling and I've also had PU hats that peeled in less than a year of use. You just never know. What I do know is the PU coating will definitely peel faster on the body of the hat versus the bill. The reason is the body or crown of the hat can get smashed or wrinkled/dented pretty easily which causes hairline cracks in the PU coating that ultimately leads to peeling. On the other hand, the PU coating on the bill of the hat tends to resist peeling a lot better because it's relatively stiff which means it doesn't wrinkle and cause premature hairline cracks in the PU coating. This is good news because the majority of the PU coating is on the bill and no PU coating is on the body or crown. My advice on how to make your PU coated hats last longer is simple. Handle it gently. Try to minimize your touching/rubbing of the PU coating and don't just throw the hat around. Keep it away from heat. Don't leave it in your hot baking car and try not to wear it under the hot Sun. Lastly, if you want your PU coating to last as long as possible, don't wear it everyday. PU coated hats are not everyday hats in my opinion because of the nicking & peeling aspects of it. You should wear it occasionally to minimize the possibility of mishandling as well as limiting inevitable wear & tear from use. I'm writing this long winded paragraph on PU coating because of the price I'm selling this hat for. I would not feel good at all if someone bought this hat thinking PU coating is as durable as 100% leather. As I just stated, no it's not. A PU coated hat won't last forever like a 100% real leather hat could. It has a expiration date just like all these expensive name brand athletic shoes on the market today. I don't care if you bought your shoes for a $100 or $2000, your name brand athletic shoes will eventually fall apart no matter if you wear it occasionally or never wear it all because of what sneakerheads call shoe rot. Bottom line, PU coated items like most man-made items have an end date, but with proper care the end date can definitely be pushed back. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
