Boss SD-1 Distortion Pedal DIY Component Modification Kit.

(This is a kit to modify your own pedal - PEDAL NOT INCLUDED)

It's a fact that most big-name professional guitarist use modified pedals, otherwise, they,d sound like everybody else. And they really don't want that...would you?

By replacing certain components you make your pedal sound/react differently. Therefore the best thing to do is to learn how to modify your existing pedals and that's when you'll achieve a blow-your-head-off GREAT SOUND. Not only is that a huge tone advantage, but you'll be able to do it...cheaply! Boutique pedals are far too expensive for what you get.

Improvements you can expect with my mod...

Adds clarity to the overdrive and removes some of the muddiness.

Add bass back to the circuit while also adding presence and flattening out the frequency response.

Highs will become much sweeter and clearer while the bass will be boosted.

Adds clarity and firms up the bottom end frequencies.

Doubles the amount of gain.

Gives a rich with fat singing gain.

Sweetens up the overdrive and completely removes the raspy highs.

Adds a bit of volume to the circuit.

Controlled feedback with rich, creamy harmonics.

Plus if you have an accident with one of the components, just email me and I'll replace it...at no extra cost!

I supply you with the link to download the step-by-step instruction manual. The instructions are dead easy to follow with plenty of pictures. Even a person with no experience of soldering can get the desired results.

This is an easy project that can be completed in about 30 minutes. Don't pay hundreds of pounds for a Boutique pedal when you can upgrade yours for
the price of Big Mac meal.

IMPORTANT
Boss
After 2002 Boss started using 'surface mounted' components. Check that you've NOT got a pedal that has 'Surface Mounted Components' (printed circuit board). Printed circuit boards (SMC) can't be modded. (The circuit board example in the image above is an SMC. If you have that one, it can't be modded. The SD-1 Surface Mount started in 2019. All WAZA versions are Surface Mount and can't be modded.)
