This 1860s carte de visite photo features the full length view of a young boy posed with his pet dog. 

The card measures about 2.5 x 4 inches. There is a bump in the background to the left of the boy's left arm that appears to be a small object (possibly piece of dust) that is sandwiched in between the photo itself and the card. This would've been there since the day it was made.
