Matched quad of vintage RFT EL34 tubes. Equivalent to 6CA7.

This is rare, short base version of RFT EL34.

RFT EL34 tubes were often rebranded by Siemens, Philips and Telefunken. Siemens actualy never made any EL34 / 6CA7 in their plants, so Siemens EL34 are rebranded RFT's.

All of them are unused (NOS) in their original packaging (please see photo). Collectible item. You are bidding the tubes on pictures. Tubes were tested on modern Orange VT-1000 tube tester. Results are*:

1st tube (Serial: 717115): "Good"; valve matching value = 12

2nd tube (Serial: 719132): "Good"; valve matching value = 12

3rd tube (Serial: 717115): "Good"; valve matching value = 12

4th tube (Serial: 717115): "Good"; valve matching value = 11

*Typical test result for EL34 tube on this tester is 10-11 on a scale from 1 to 15. In general, a higher number indicates a newer or less worn valve, however due to manufacturing tolerances, a range of values are possible, even with new stock. So, lower test result does not necessarily means that tube was used. According to tester’s manufacturer, tubes with result up to 2 figures apart can be considered as matched.

These tubes sound great! Please read RFT EL34 reviews on the web. Here is an example:

"When I think of German power tubes I think of a big warm sound that doesn’t cause listening fatigue after an hour of playing. [...] These tubes are extremely warm sounding and if you have one of those amps that sounds thin at lower volume levels, these should take care of that problem in short order. Midrange response seemed slightly skewed toward the bass side. This is no doubt where the extra warmth is coming from. The high end was smooth and clear without a trace of harshness".
