Christmas Carols for Young Children is inteded to bring the joy of the Nativity to adults and children of all ages.  It includes a Christmas Story adapted from the gospels of Matthew and Luke, as well as twelve well-known and traditional carols from Europe and America, coupled with a collection of beautiful illustrations by Henrietta Willebeek le Mair drawn about fifty years ago.  The charm, delicacy and composition of her work have made her illustrations of nursery rhyms very popular amongst English, American and Dutch children over the past 60 years.  Since the first edition, music has been added to include arrangements for voice, piano, guitar and recorder.
