Striking imitation of carved Ivory, with detailed  Chinese motives decorating its surface all around.

The vase is marked with Chinese symbols, but the origin of this piece is likely to be in Europe.  Vases like this one have been popular around the globe for the best part of the past century. This particular design is often linked to production in Italy.

There is one curious detail about this piece, which is its base.  These vases are known to have a black base. To find one of these vases with a matching Ivory base is rather unusual.

The vase is approximately seven decades old, but it has aged gracefully. There are odd little marks and a slightly uneven patina, but those only confirm the authenticity and enhance its beauty.  The item is well preserved and is chips and cracks free.

Approximately 29.5 cm tall, 12 cm long (handle to handle), and 9.5 cm deep.
