Antique cylindrical spring balance scale. Weighs up to 50 pounds. Marked in half pound increments. Overall length with hooks is 14 1/2" and the body measures 8 3/4" long x 1 1/2" in diameter. Body is black painted cast iron. Heavy scale is 2lbs weight. Face plate is brass. In working condition. Black painted body shows some wear. Brass face plate can be polished or leave with antique patina. Original uses would have included weighing furs, agricultural grains, and wild game. Great for a scale collection or use as a plant hanger.
