Charvette By Charvel 250 Dayglo Orange circa.1990’s Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Charvette By Charvel 250 in Dayglo Orange finish. Built in Korea circa.1990’s, this instrument features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body and Maple neck with a 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar is equipped with a black Licensed Floyd Rose bridge and a set of Charvel sealed tuning machines. The pickups featured consist of a Charvel branded humbucker and two Charvel branded single-coils, these are wired to a 5-way blade selector, master volume and a master tone control.

The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a profile resembling a ‘C’, allowing for easy fretting in any register and providing ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 12” radius makes bending and vibrato techniques a breeze, whilst offering a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for quick lead lines. The Medium Jumbo frets enhance vibrato techniques at speed whilst also providing a rock-solid and smooth playing experience. The Floyd Rose Licensed bridge is perfect for classic stunt guitar antics, all whilst staying in tune and feeling really robust.

The pickups in this guitar offer a great versatile sound, they produce a mixture of sparkly tones with a hint of a darker undertones, whilst retaining clarity with each note. The humbucker in the bridge offers a full driving mid range with great harmonic overtones, and a top end that produces a crunchy edge. The middle pickup produces a smooth single coil sound with more output and more mids, providing bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup provides a warm, rounded sound, offering a smooth tone that handles distorted tones as well as it handles clean tones, a versatile guitar for tone scaping.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the front face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. Light scratching and denting is present to the bass and treble side edges and the top side edge. 

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching and denting is present to the rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the lower register. This can be lightly felt under the finger in the playing position. 

Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to all surfaces of the body, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the front face lower bout. Cracks to the finish are present to either side of the neck pocket, however this does not go into the wood, therefore causing no structural concern. Chipping to the pain is visible to the lower bout front face bass side and the front face bass side at the neck pocket.  

Condition of Frets:

The frets show moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is noticeable through the entire register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (hex 4mm)

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The original bridge has been replaced with a Licensed Floyd Rose bridge, the original bridge is not included. The original control knobs have been replaced with black control knobs, the original control knobs are not included. Tremolo bar included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
