This is a rare September 15th, 1954 "Playgoer" playbill from the four-night, Pre-Broadway tryout and WORLD PREMIERE engagement of the HARRY KUTNITZ comedy "RECLINING FIGURE" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The production would open October 7th, 1954 at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City and run for 116 performances.) ..... The play starred PERCY WARAM, GEORGIANN JOHNSON, MARTIN GABEL and future "60 Minutes" correspondent MIKE WALLACE (who would be making his Broadway debut and only Broadway stage appearance) and featured BERRY KROEGER, RALPH BUNKER, DAVID OPATOSHU, FOSTER DAVIS, NEHEMIAH PERSOFF and ALFRED HESSE ..... There is a clipped corner to the cover, a fold across the middle and moderate surface and edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
