Arlo's Pro 4 Camera DOES NOT require a SmartHub to operate. Pro 4 can directly connect to your network through Wi-Fi. In order to store local recordings a SmartHub will be required.
NOTE: Arlo cameras can be placed up to 300ft (90m) away from the Smarthub. The maximum line of sight range of 300 feet is reduced by each wall, ceiling, or other major obstruction between the camera and the base station.
