Painted cover by Don Newton. Stories and art by Bill Pearson and Don Newton.

Charlton presents the comic-book adventures of the seemingly immortal crime-fighter called The Phantom.

This issue continues Don Newton's short but celebrated run on The Phantom, for which he often wrote, penciled, inked, and supplied the painted covers.

In an issue-length story, The Phantom of the 1930s is swept up into a story inspired by the classic film The Maltese Falcon. The Phantom joins the search for the mysterious artifact called the Mali Ibex, but he's not the only one who wants it !!
