WELCOME TO JEWELBOX

These beads started out as a way of the glass ateliers using up all te different colours of glass to avoid waste.  They were so popular that they went into regular production and travellers on their Grand Tour of Europe made a point of buying these when in Venice.

The colours in these are to emulate Red Agate with each bead being different from its neighbour. They are wired on very fine brass and they are separated with tiny beads in deep Red agate. The necklace is very likely from a longer broken one and a clasp has been added at some point. It is still wearable and not everyone likes a long necklace too!

App 20.1" long. In one section there are two tiny beads instead of one and in another section two have been joined together as they must have come apart. Could be redone by someone with a set of pliers probably. imo they do not affect the charm or the wearability of the necklace so i have left them as they came to me. Minor wear to clasp that does not affect the function. The necklace is priced accordingly.

A lovely wearable antique.

We do accept returns for anything that we have not described correctly. Please buy responsibly ~ this is not a big business that sells en masse and returns have a big impact. i will honour my mistakes but recently people seem to just buy to try things on, thank you for your understanding. i am a human being and on occasion will probably make a mistake but will do everything i can to resolve one if it happens.

A bit about me : i worked for many years in the Antiques Trade specialising first in antique clothing and Textiles and then i specialised in Art Deco and Art Nouveau, generally glass and sculpture and metal ware. i stood at many of the top fairs eg Olympia, Claridges, The Dorchester, The NEC and bought and sold in Sothebys, Christies and Bonhams. i appeared on TV a few times as an Expert, served on Vetting Committees and so on. i gave up the Material World for a number of years whilst i concentrated on Meditation, Healing and other Spiritual endeavours but am now selling on Ebay to pay the rent :-) i really do love the pieces that pass through my hands and i enjoy 'meeting' people across the globe and feel good making them feel good. i try to follow the Reiki precepts ~ one of which is 'To earn an honest living'.
