Briwax has an impeccable heritage which dates back to 1860 when Henry Flack started manufacturing polishes and waxes near London Bridge for cabinet  makers and wood carvers.

His business was acquired by the Bollom Group in 1961 who grew the brand successfullyin both the professional and consumer markets.

The Bollom Family produced and distributed Briwax for 45 years. The Bollom Groupwas sold by the family to an investment company in Feb 07. A fire in the factory did nothelp and through lack of investment they were put into administration in November 2007.Having been greatly distressed at the demise of the Group, Martin and Tony Bollom were determined that Briwax should thrive again.

They therefore bought the Briwax name, formulations and equipment from the administrator. They have been striving to put it back on the map. They have invested heavily by bothincreasing the stocks, and now have enough production capability to fulfil nearly twicethe present annual sales.

Briwax again gives a first class service for a first class product. Briwax is presently soldto over 20 Countries through all 5 Continents.

How to apply Briwax for the best results..

BRIWAX / BRIWAX ORIGINAL Surface Preparation - Unsealed wooden surfaces should be smooth, dry and clean. Apply Briwax using a lint free cloth or 0000 Steel Wool, thoroughly working the wax into the grain. Once dry, buff to desired finish with a clean soft cloth. Improved shine and durability can be achieved by first sealing the surface with Briwax Sanding Sealer. For antiques and pre-finished furniture, first check compatibility, then apply Briwax in small areas with a clean soft cloth. The Briwax finish can be maintained by further applications which will give increased hardness and shine. This product is not recommended for use in areas where it will come into contact with water. Above 20°C, Briwax will soften and liquify. Replace lid, put in a cool place and it will return to its original state.
