For sale is a Gibson Slothead EB-3 1971 - Cherry Fretless Bass w/ Original Gibson Case in Good Condition!

This bass is an absolute monster and sounds incredible! I don't know for sure (I kinda doubt it) that this would have come from the Gibson factory as fretless. However, whoever did the job has done it professionally and it looks great!

The electronics work perfectly and it has that classic "double bass" tone in the first position!

There is some bow in the neck. The truss seems to turn fine, however, I didn't want to turn too much on it for fear of damaging the the truss. The playability is still in a comfortable range as is listed in the specs below.

I also shot a couple of photos up by the head stock. I can't tell for sure, but I don't think there was a repair at the head stock. But there are a couple of lines that I could see in that area. If it was repaired, it was done so well that I can't really tell. It also doesn't look like the typical break lines you would see in most of these older Gibson necks (A big soft "v" type line).

Bass sold as pictured/described.
