Constructed with Indian Rosewood back and sides, Lutz spruce top, and V-Class bracing construction, the Builder's Edition 816ce features a second soundhole, the Soundport Cutaway, for wide-angle sound.
This creates a natural surround effect, creating a truly symphonic sound.
In addition, the scale has been changed from the previous (25-1/2 inch) to a (24-7/8 inch) short scale, improving playability.
The Builder's Edition 816ce features the same Builder's Edition design: silent satin finish, chamfered body and fingerboard edges, curved wing bridge, and Goto 510 tuners (21:1 gear ratio).
