Denso Nickel - More Than Just a 'Standard' Spark Plug!
DENSO's patented U-Groove spark plug enables complete combustion by allowing the spark to fill the gap created by the U shape. The ball of fire created in the U-Groove develops a larger and hotter flash front that virtually eliminates excessive fouling and erratic starts caused by poor fuel mixtures.
Even DENSO's "standard" spark plug is something special. The innovative design that helped to make DENSO spark plugs famous, the U-Groove plug employs a unique, channeled ground electrode designed to generate a larger spark nucleus at the point of ignition. Greater spark energy than ordinary plugs means improved flame travel, producing more complete, consistent, and efficient combustion.

Intelligent Resistor Design
- High quality resistor: Features a metal sleeve around the insulator and a protected connection point, to avoid potential interference with electronic equipment.

Installation
WARNING - DO NOT USE COPPER GREASE (AKA COPPER SLIP, ANTI-SEIZE, THREAD COMPOUND) ON MODERN SPARK PLUG THREADS!
- Using such lubricants can result in over-torqued values with a torque-wrench by up to 20 percent! Possibly causing major damage.
- Virtually all modern spark plugs feature a special zinc-chromate shell plating which provides corrosion resistance to the elements.
- Spark plugs should be torqued/tightened down with a dry thread only.
- On spark plugs that feature a crush-able base gasket washer, be prepared for tightening to feel odd in the last stages as it's being crushed.
- Follow the instructions on the box that show you to finger tighten first and then rotate the amount shown afterwards with a wrench.
- Only use a spark plug gapping tool which pulls on the ground electrodes neck to adjust the gap on precious metal spark plugs.
- The only time anti-seize compound should be used is on vintage spark plugs that have a non-coated, usually black surface.
