GSS342G3 - Innovation at Its Finest

The global success story of the Walbro/TI Automotive GSS fuel pump series means they've been at the forefront of fuel pump technology for many years.

They are the leading choice as either an upgrade pump for tuning purposes, or to simply replace a failing original pump. Its compact size and impressive output gives this pump range the huge following that it deserves.
 
Reliability is where the GSS342G3 shines, it utilizes an ever proven 'gerotor' pumping system with hardened stainless steel gears for extra durability. An accompanying motor is the source of the power behind the 255 litre per hour flow rate. The end result is a pump that's capable of supporting applications of up to approximately 500hp.
 
Please note that in 2014, TI Automotive announced that all high-performance aftermarket products produced under their Walbro brand (such as high-pressure fuel pumps) will now carry the TI automotive brand name instead. For example, the Walbro GSS342 is now officially rebranded as the TI Automotive GSS342G3 (with a few upgrades).

Installation

  • Installation should be performed by a professional, trained mechanic only.
  • Slight modifications may be necessary to your pump carrier/sender unit, wiring and fuel lines.
  • A complete fuel tank flush MUST be performed before installation; warranty can be voided if the pump fails due to contamination.
  • The included fuel filters retaining ‘star’ clip must be correctly fitted onto the inlet spigot.
  • The TI Automotive/TI Fluid Systems logo visible on the pump is the head company and owner of the brand ‘Walbro’.
  • The new pump must be installed into a minimum of half a tank full of fuel or more. 
  • The serviceable main fuel filter on the vehicle must also be replaced.

These pumps are now branded with the TI Automotive name, carrying a legacy for more than 60 years of manufacturing the most popular drop-in fuel pumps, with the same performance, quality and reliability that you have come to know and expect.



Disclaimer / Warranty

  • Please be aware that Driven 2 Automotive will not be held responsible under any circumstances for costs incurred due to parts that are found to have a manufacturing fault or that have failed due to poor installation.
  • The most common cause of failure on any fuel pump is a 'locked up' situation that's due to contamination of rust/debris and other minute objects. This contamination causes overheating of the pump, you must make sure your tank is completely flushed before fitting (perhaps even multiple times).
  • Although the pump is using filtered fuel, even the smallest of objects can cause failure and it shouldn't be relied upon, especially with high powered applications.
  • Warranty refunds or replacements will only be given if a manufacturing fault has been identified. The pump is returned to the manufacturer for inspection where they firstly dismantle the pump and then provide a full warranty report which includes photographs and an in-depth analysis showing the reason of failure.
