You are bidding on onenice letter from 1613 out of Geretzhoven.

TheGeretzhoven Castle is a former moated castle in the town of Rheidt-Hüchelhoven in the Rhein-Erft district of North Rhine-Westphalia. At the northwest corner of the house is a gate building with a tail gable. The relief stone with the Alliance coat of arms Ketzgen-Bodelwickelh from the end of the 17th century Century (1688) refers to the marriage of the heir daughter Alstein Almuth Ketzgen von Geretzhoven with Wessel Wierich von und zu Bodelwickelh (1655-1717).

Written and signed by Alstein Alma's great-grandfather Eberhard Ketzgen zu Geretzhoven (d. before 1624), owner of several houses in Cologne, who had been married to Anna von Holthausen (Holzhausen) since 1584, only daughter of Dietrich von Holthausen and Mrealhilde, b. von der Eicken, called von der Clee. After Anna's death, Johann von Beeck bought her Moorhoven estate at Haus Beeck (Wegberg) in 1613. This letter is also addressed to Johann von Beeck, even if the addressee is only called "great gentleman and friend". -- From a collection of letters to the Lords of Beeck at Haus Beeck.
