A beautiful hand painted landscape plate with a named view of "Loch Awe".  As you know, "named views" are scarce and quite sought after.  There is no maker's mark on the back. Hand written in red script on the back: Loch Awe Argyllshire. This plate is dated c.1840 or earlier.
