Publisher: DONALD HILL, 2007, Limited Edition, 262 of 500
FIRST EDITION HARDBACK BOOK IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. DUSTJACKET COMPLETE, UNMARKED AND UNCREASED. ALL INTERNALS CLEAN, TIGHT AND BRIGHT. THE BOOK IS NOT CLIPPED AND THERE ARE NO INSCRIPTIONS. THIS IS NOT AN EX-LIBRARY BOOK.
This
Register is an illustrated listing of most of the surviving Salmson cars made
between 1921 and 1929. As a reference book it contains full descriptions with
manufacturer’s catalogue descriptions for each of the 19 models made, together
with comprehensive listings of chassis and engine numbers. There are also
sections covering the competition record with all British and European drivers
noted, and on a more practical level, hints on how to keep your Salmson engine
running well today.
... All
the competitions in which the Salmsons competed throughout Europe between 1920
and the end of the '30s, including the names of the drivers, are referenced
here.
The 19
models produced in the 1920s, with chassis and engine numbers and practical
advice on how to maintain these beautiful mechanics, are meticulously described
and abundantly illustrated with reproductions from the catalogues of the time.
But
above all, this book offers us as complete a register as possible of the cars
that have survived to the present day, with their history.
Needless
to say, this bible of any salmsonite and
is almost impossible to find today, all copies having been acquired before its
publication in 2007.
