Tirard long oval bowler or derby hat in black with bound brim

There are 3 items on this listing:

Tirard is a French brand which started in 1873 and closed in 1956, so these hats are increasingly hard to find.
This is an extremely old hat, and the embossing is the old font. The ribbon is covered by a protective fabric, or has possibly been covered for a funeral. It has cracking on the brim.
This hat is unlined with a shop patch on the crown, Sylph and Lacoste, Lyon . The 2 1/8” or 5.3cm sweatband is very light beige thick quality leather-type, and a ribbon adjustment. Embossed upon it are the old version of the Tirard freres monogram and the shop stamp. The shop is Lacoste, Chapelier Specialist, 8 Rue President Carnot, Lyon
The under sweatband labels show the size 58 and Tirard No fabrication 23665
The hat box still has its carrying ribbon and also strings to support the hat.
The advert is from the same Delion shop in Paris, as the box, but the box is earlier.
