This vintage PYE P224 valve radio from 1958 is a rare find for collectors. Featuring a classic design and good sound quality, it's sure to be a great addition to any vintage sound collection. Made in the United Kingdom, this radio is in good working order and ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.  This must have been one of the first radios to use a printed circuit board rather than a hard-wired chassis and Pye have proudly stated – Printed Circuit – on the dial. With an EL84 output valve, the sound quality is good.
The radio has Long, Medium and 4 Short Wave Bands. It has an internal arial and can accept an external arial. With the internal arial connected I am able to pick up stations on Long Wave.
In the UK it is obviously powered by a 220v supply, but it was clearly designed to be universal for export as there is a change over panel on the rear for connection to a 110v (USA) supply,
