Antique KPM Berlin Art Nouveau Three footed Covered Cherubs Scene Vase Urn in Egg Shape

FACTORY: KPM berlin. Marked imperial orb mark with "KPM" in iron red, and a writing number "8414" in black. The blue scepter mark probably be covered by cobalt blue ground.

Date: Around 1900. 

Size: 15.5 cm high with cover.

Condition: In perfect condition with no cracks, hairlines, restorations, chips or stain. Fist choice. The painting and the gilding remain very well.

A KPM berlin egg-shaped, footed vase with a hand-painted cherubs scene, depicting two winged cherubs in the fields with a rabbit. One  cherub with a bow and a quiver full of arrows on his back, the other sitting in front, both pointing at the distant rabbit.  The hand painted scene is gold-framed and surrounded by raised gold flowers and scrollwork decorations, both extend through the whole vase. The vase have three white scrolled legs, each has a branch curling over them and is finished with relief leaves and flowers atop. The lid is composed of 3 white buds. The lid, the top and the legs of the vase have gold trim. A rare and beautiful vase.
