Seagull S6 Original w/ TRIC Flight Case

Here for sale we have a Seagull S6 Original in Semi-Gloss Natural Finish. Built in Canada after 2012 as Seagull’s flagship product, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Wild Cherry back and sides topped with Solid Cedar, Silver leaf Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard.

The Silver Leaf Maple neck plays very well, offering a great feel with its thin ‘D’ shaped neck providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The custom polished Semi-Gloss finish to the rear of the neck is akin to satin, making for effortless transitions whilst feeling pleasing under the thumb. The Rosewood fretboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, and with its 16” fretboard radius provides a balanced surface that greatly lends itself to both chord playing and intricate fingerpicking lines.

The sound of the Seagull S6 is very warm and dynamic and thanks to its Solid Cedar top, it has the ability to really project when strummed hard. A warm low end is complemented well by a smooth midrange, whilst the high frequencies are bright and detailed. THe sound of the Seagull S6 really lends itself to the classic singer/songwriter sound.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates some paint transfer which we have been unable to remove through regular cleaning.

Neck: Overall very good condition, the early register bass side of the rear demonstrates some wear to the finish, revealing the wood beneath.

Body: Overall excellent condition, two very small indentations that do not pierce the finish can be identified to the front face by the treble side shoulder. These are only visible under direct lighting at certain angles and cannot be felt under the finger.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 1.75mm

Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.

The nut has been shimmed by the previous owner. There is no room remaining in the saddle for further reductions.
