Lovely quality piece by renowned silversmith George Fox. The top half of the bowl has been hammered in the Arts & Crafts style, the bottom half with repousse acanthus decoration and the handles in the form of mythical sea creatures.
Really good gauge of Britannia Standard (958/1000) silver weighing 194 grams and fully hallmarked for London 1895.
It measures 14.5 cm across the handles, 9.5 cm bowl diameter and 7 cm high.
In good antique condition with only surface scratches commensurate with age and handling.
