Minolta SRT 101 silver body with Rokkor 55mm, 1.7 lens. Film tested - working.

-- ATTENTION: PLEASE NOTE- This vintage camera is around 55 yrs old. It's been well taken care of and works as of time of testing a roll of film. But it is old and you cannot expect it to work forever :) --

I really enjoy using these old cameras from the 1960s. Solid metal construction, all manual and with a light meter. I used the light meter when taking b&w photos, a roll of Agfaphoto APX 100.

The light meter seems to work pretty well, but at times I had to switch the on-off button a couple of times at the bottom of the camera, to "awake" the light meter :) It's a needle that is supposed to move up and down and you can set either the aperture or the shutter speed so that the needle matches with a black line/circle. It's pretty obvious as soon as you look in the viewfinder.

Remember that you may also use the Sunny 16 rule to take pictures, you really don't need the light meter. The Sunny 16 rule is easy to learn, just search the internet.

The camera has normal wear for its age. A few small scratches only - mostly on the bottom plate. All in all very nice condition. Beautiful camera.

The light seals and mirror dampening foam probably need replacement (like on most old cameras). But the camera is capable of taking pictures and I could see no light leaks on the film.

The lens is clean, aperture works as it should and glass looks nice, both front and back. All Minolta Rokkor lenses are really good. Comes with non-original lens cap.

----------------------------------------------------------

- Viewfinder is ok - bright and easy to focus. Only a few minor dust spots or hairlines.

- Self timer works properly

- Exposure meter works (although occasionally needs turning on-off switch a couple of times)

- Shutter speed ring works as it should and all the shutter speeds seem correct as far as I can assess.

- Film counter resets as it should when you open the back.

- Clear glass both front and rear. A few dust spots inside if you look closely. Won't affect images.

This nice-looking Minolta SRT 101 is ready to shoot.

Comes with non-original 52mm lens cap, short camera strap, battery and vintage Hoya Skylight filter.
