The "Commando of the 1st battalion, Royal Prussia. 27. Infantry Regiment No. 142"addresses" a commendable one Monastery rule at Jedlersdorff near Vienna."

 

The regiment was later renamed “Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia” (2. Magdeburg) No. Renamed 27".

 

Großjedlersdorf has been part of the 21st district since 1905. Floridsdorf district of Vienna.


 

Dated Magdeburg, the 7th September 1841.


 

About a drum called Holzmüller from the 3rd Company of the 1st Royal Prussian 27th Battalion Infantry Regiment", the "on the 2nd June d. Js. deserted from the local garrison. [...] Since the information given by the individual caught in Jedlersdorff leaves no doubt that this is the Holzmüller who deserted from here, I respectfully request the Laudable Monastery to send the Holzmüller by transport to the next Prussian border town, from where the further transport here will take place."

The Infantry Regiment “Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia” (2. Magdeburg) No. 27 was an infantry unit of the Prussian Army.

History: The association was founded on the 7th. March 27, 1815 Infantry Regiment was founded and led by the 5th for several years. November 1816 to 9 March 1823 the designation 27. Infantry Regiment (2nd Magdeburg). In the course of the army expansion it was opened on the 4th. July 1860 in 2. Magdeburg Infantry Regiment No. 27 renamed. A final change occurred on the 27th.
