This is a magnificently detailed and fine 1900th century oil on canvas depicting a view of  "Santa Maria Della Salute Venice" by the highly esteemed British artist Alfred Pollentine the painting is signed by the artist and inscribed verso and signed again, "Santa maria Della Salute Venice"  
This truly beautiful painting reflex Pollentine's love of Venice in the meticulous detail, strong draughtsmanship, delicacy and fluidity of his use of colour, and warmed palette, Pollentine's style is very distinctive and recognisable which shows his skill in architectural drawing, carefully capturing the life and livelihood of the Venetians in the 1800s

Artist Information

Alfred Pollentine was a British painter of English and Italian landscapes, best known for his Venetian subjects he worked during the mid 19th century becoming one of the most distinguished painters of Venetian genre from this period, Pollentine's works are confidently painted, 
capturing all the charm and atmosphere of one of the most beautiful cites in the world. Pollentine developed his own highly recognisable 
style of capturing the architecture and daily life in the romantic city. He exhibited works at the British Institute, and the Royal Society of 
British Artist's London from 1861-1880.

respected and experienced a third generation picture restorer with more than 45 yrs experience in picture conservation.

It hangs in a beautiful bespoke hand made Gilt metal leaf swept frame commissioned to order for me by a distinguished UK period frame 
maker with experience in hand made composite frames, using reverse carved mouldings, In all both painting and frame are in superb art 
gallery condition ready to hang.

price has been pain in full.

Detailing

It is important that you recognise, antiques are works over 100 yrs old and frequently much older so may retain evidence of historical damage and or repair during its lifetime, however the conservator that I use is one of the most eminent in the UK no restorer can or should remove every sign of ageing, I will always attempt to display any flaws through my detailed photographs and item condition statement, therefore anyone wishing to purchase a painting that looks new should in fact buy a new painting. 


Packing The Painting For Shipping

It is paramount that your painting reaches your address safe and sound therefore great care and time is taken in this detail and quality of materials used. all paintings are first wrapped in acid free tissue paper, then the front and rear of the painting is covered with 10 mm & 25 mm polystyrene respectfully upon which the frame is covered with "U-Channel" foam edge guard protectors, all of which is then wrapped in foam wrap Jiffy roll,before the painting is then fitted into a double wall 300 k box the entire package is then wrapped in black polythene to keep out any moisture.

I will also ship free of charge to the U.S.A.  Canada, Australia, Asia, and most locations worldwide with UPS, DHL, or Royal Mail Parcel Force Worldwide all fully tracked and sign for, " Import duties where applicable are the buyers responsibility " Alternatively I will happily work with a courier of your choice or UK clients are welcome to collect from me in North Nottinghamshire. All buyers will need to supply a complete name, address, and telephone contact number for shipping forms. 

Returns

It is my intention that you are happy with your item, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied please contact me though Ebay messaging stating the reason why I will offer a refund, to qualify for a refund return within 7 days from receipt of your item, or 14 days outside the UK, the item must be returned in their original condition, and packaging, I only ask that you pay the return postage costs.
