Hayman 3030 Natural Gloss 1970s Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Hayman 3030 Electric Guitar from the 1970s in Natural Gloss finish. Made in England, this guitar is made up of an Obeche body with a 'Vibrasonic' chamber, a Maple 'Slenderslim' neck, and a Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a Microtune bridge and tailpiece, Grover tuners with 4 string trees, a transparent pickguard, and a pair of Superflux pickups that are wired to a master volume control, master tone control and a three-way pickup selector.

The 'Slenderslim' neck, with its incorporated Maple fingerboard, has a very ergonomic feel to it making it extremely easy to play. The deep cutaway on the treble side of the body allows the player to reach further into the upper register and the thick cut Obeche body fits firmly in place, establishing itself straight away. The body has been fitted with a Vibrasonic chamber, and, coupled with the thick Obeche body, satisfies all of your needs when it comes to the amount of sustain you can achieve from your guitar.

To top it all off, the guitar is fitted with two Superflux single coil pickups that are wired to a master volume, master tone and a three way pickup selector. Each pickup is specially wound to amplify every string vibration clearly, even in the fastest of passages. The pickups work really well with the 'Vibrasonic' chamber to create a seriously unique sound from days gone by.

Luthier Report

Our ID: 11011233131

Weight: 8.55lbs

Serial Number: 5910973

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall good condition. Light scratching and denting is present to the front face, rear face and top side edge, visible under direct light from certain angles. Further more visible denting and a chip to the wood is present to the top side edge.

Neck: Overall good condition. Light denting is present to the fingerboard and rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the 5th fret. The light denting that runs down the centre of the back of the neck can be lightly felt under the thumb in playing position.

Body: All surfaces of the body present scratching, dents and cracks to the finish. This is most noticeable to the bass side waist of the front face and to the treble side edge of the lower bout around the input. Cracking can be seen around the treble side of the neck pocket. This has been re-glued in house to a professional standard and no longer causes any concern to the structure of the guitar. A crack can be seen starting on the treble side of the lower bout front face and runs around the guitar to the back face. This does not flex under pressure and therefore causes no structural concern.

Condition of Frets:

The frets show notable signs of use, not affecting playability. There is not enough material remaining in the frets for any further fret work.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod Condition: Fully functional and adjustable. Truss rod tool (spoke wheel) not included.

Hardware Condition: Fully functional with signs of wear.

Structural Condition: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret- Treble 2.5mm - Bass 2.5mm

Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.

Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.
