Pluto is a yellow-orange, medium-sized dog with black ears and short hair that belongs to Mickey Mouse. He is relatively normal, with few anthropomorphic traits aside from his facial expressions. Pluto is well-trained, loyal, but can also get into trouble. He first appeared in the 1930 Mickey Mouse cartoon The Chain Gang and has appeared in 89 short films between 1930 and 1953. Some of these films were nominated for Academy Awards, including The Pointer (1939), Squatter's Rights (1946), and Pluto's Blue Note (1947)
