McCoy Art Pottery  Chicks & Hens / Strawberry Planting Pot #3020 Tan ~ VTG EUC

Description: This particular planter is perfect for so many small plants whether they be herbs, flowers or Strawberries. The top is the largest of the five openings and is 2-3/4" id.  The four smaller side pockets are 2-1-8" wide at the bowl and extend outward 1-3/8".  As mentioned on the historical marker (image 7), McCoy products represent a specific niche in American pottery culture and remain extremely collectable.

Interesting fact: McCoy Art Pottery started production of their distinctive pottery pieces in 1899, eventually becoming the Nelson McCoy Sanitary Stoneware Company in 1910. The company continued production in Roseville, Ohio until 1991.  See last two images.

Condition: Preowned doesn't get any closer to MINT than this.  It doesn't look like it's ever been used.  There are NO chips, cracks, flaws, scratches, scuffs, stains, discoloration, water / mineral marks, dirt / soil residue, repairs, or any other cosmetic / structural issues. McCoy never used backstamps, but embossed a simple mold IDN, Name, OEM Logo and Country into the greenware so it's there forever!  In this case, "3020 ~ McCoy ~ [Logo] ~ U.S.A.""
